Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was only five years old her family moved to Oxfordshire and went to the Dragon School. Emma aged six at the time she decided to make it as an actress. The actress trained for several years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she was taught singing and acting. At the age of 10, she performed as well as taken as the main character in several Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the 2001 film version from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was announced in 1999. Emma was discovered by agent through the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were cast as the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first cinematic appearance was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The film was also the most successful film in 2001. Opening days and weekends of revenues were record-breaking. The film was praised by critics, as were the performance of three stars. The Daily Telegraph, a frequently read British paper, praised her for her outstanding performance. Emma received the Young Artist Award as the Leading Young Actress for part of a feature Film. Later, she was awarded five times for her work in the film.
