Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she began more intensive training in vocals by Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In her early career, she included performances with a variety of opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. In 2000 she moved into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer of classical Latin American music at private occasions. In addition to being an active performer as well as an instructor and instructor, her passion for art and music has her active in a variety of different projects. Ana has also been a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able to share with others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can encourage younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
